- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (encrypted).
- Usage data: Progress, XP points, streaks, and lessons completed — stored locally on your device via AsyncStorage.
- Device information: Device language settings, used solely to display the app in your preferred language.
- Microphone: Used only when you choose to practice speaking. Audio is processed in real time and not stored on our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the LangLearn experience.
- To save your learning progress across sessions.
- To display personalized lessons and vocabulary in your language.
- To show advertisements via Google AdMob (see Section 5).
4. Data Storage
Most user data (progress, XP, streak) is stored locally on your device. If you create an account, your data is stored securely on our servers. We do not sell your data to third parties.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
LangLearn uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect and use data about your device to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. For more information, please review Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Microphone Permission
We request microphone access only to enable the voice practice feature. Audio input is processed locally or sent to our AI tutor service solely for transcription. We do not record or store your voice data.
7. Children's Privacy
LangLearn is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
